The test item melts at 219-239°C. No relevant exothermic reaction/self-heating of the sample was observed up to that temperature.

The test item was a white crystalline solid. Whilst heating the test item, no relevant exothermic reaction/self-heating of the sample had been observed. On completion of the test, the cube contained a hard fused white solid.

The melting temperature of the test item is stated as 219 to 239°C. This was observed in the differences between the sample and reference curve at approximately 200°C. As the oven temperature was increased to 250°C, the test item was heated to above its melting point.

Conclusions:
No relevant exothermic reaction/self-heating of the sample was observed
Executive summary:

The determination of self ignition temperature was performed according to Method A.15 of Commission Regulation (EC)N°440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and GLP. No deviation of the guidelines was observed during the test.

The test item is heated in a fine mesh stainless steel cube that is suspended in an oven. The temperature/time-curves of both test item and oven are recorded.The self-ignition temperature, as obtained by this method, is the minimum ambient temperature expressed in (°C) at which a certain volume of a substance ignites under defined conditions.The temperature of the oven at which the sample reaches 400°C by self-heating is stated as the self-iginition temperature of the test item.

The test item has been determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below its melting temperature. The test item melted at 219-239°C.
