Conclusion on classification

The aquatic toxicity studies gave the following results:

EC50(48h) Daphnia magna: 16 mg/L (95%CL: 14 and 20 mg/L)

EC50(72h) Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata :>100 mg/L based on nominal concentrations.

In two biodegradation studies, GUETOL was not readily biodegradable under the test conditions, reaching the pass level of 60% at the end of the 28 days, but without fulfilling the 10-day window criterion.

Based on these results, Guetol is harmful to aquatic organisms, but not classified for the environment according to the directive 67/548/EC criteria.

According to the regulation 1272/2008 CLP, Guetol is classified Aquatic Chronic 3 (H412), harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
