Description of key information

Under artificial light at pH 7 buffer, the test substance degraded significantly. Therefore, photodegradation will be a major contribution to the overall degradation of the substance in the environment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One GLP study according to the U.S. guideline "US EPA Subdivision N, Section 162-1" is available and based on the experimental half-life of 1.0 day (24 hrs), the half-life of the test substance under environmental conditions is calculated to be 3.5 solar summer days at Phoenix, New River Arizona (USA, latitude 33.26 N), or 5.0 solar summer days in Athens (Greece, latitude 38.03 N). Therefore, it can be concluded from this study that the substance will degrade under photolytic conditions in the environment.
