Adsorption / desorption

Using The Estimation Programs Interface (EPI) SuiteTMdeveloped by the US Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics and Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC) KOCWIN v2.00 using the MCI and Kow methods and default values, the Log Koc is calculated as 2.516 and 2.73, respectively (EPIWIN, 2013).

Distribution modelling

Based upon the measured physico-chemical properties presented in this document, the environmental distribution of dimethyl-2,6-napthalenecarboxylate was modelled using the Mackey Level III fugacity model. Dimethyl-2,6-napthalenecarboxylate was predicted to predominantly distribute to the soil compartment (70.9%).
