Additional information

According to point 9.4 in Annex IX of REACH, in the absence of toxicity data for soil organisms, the equilibrium partitioning method may be applied to assess the hazard to soil organisms. The choice of the appropriate tests depends on the outcome of the chemical safety assessment. At this time, no PNEC water is available: a qualitative risk assessment has been performed and thus no PNEC soil can be extrapolated.

The objective of the qualitative risk characterisation will be to assess the level of control over the risks generated by the substance. Operational conditions and risk management measures will be directed to minimise emissions and exposure to the environment.
