Description of key information

Based on the result of the flash point determination that was found 58ºC (see endpoint 4.11 Flash point.001), the substance should be considered as flammable liquid substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
flammable

Additional information

The flash point is a key measure of the flammability of a liquid. It measures the lowest temperature at which the vapour/air mixture above the liquid can be ignited. Flash point of the substance was examined (see endpoint 4.11 Flash point.001).

The flash point of 58ºC was found.

Based on this study the test substance should be classified as flammable liquid (according to Regulation No 1272/2008 - flash point < 60ºC) and should not be classified as flammable liquid (accordind to 67/548/EEC - flash point > 55ºC).

Conclusion: Based on the above, the substance should be considered as flammable substance.
