Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

General Information

Implementation:
EU
Type of classification:
harmonised classification
Remarks:

The CLP Annex VI harmonized classification is not in line with experimental data:

  • Eye irrit 2 is not in line with experimental data supporting Eye Damage 1. For responsible care reasons and global consistency, EU's harmonized classification is ignored and the self-classification as Eye damage 1 is applied worldwide.

  • Aquatic chronic 3 is not in line with experimental data (see justification in endpoint summary on Ecotoxicological information). However this excess classification is shown on SDS as it is

The Lead registrant has informed ECHA of this situation on 24th October 2022 by submitting an intention for a CLH dossier. It is now up to Member states to act by preparing the CLH dossier. They need to implement Eye Damage 1 and remove Aquatic Chronic 3.
