Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Fresh water invertebrates
Dose descriptor:
EC50
Effect concentration:
> 559.6 mg/L

Additional information

The EC50 (48 h) was determined to be > 559.6 mg/L (meas.) in a GLP guideline study with Daphnia magna according to OECD guideline 202 (Eastman 1995). The exposure conditions were static. The test concentrations were analytically verified and remained stable over the exposure period of 48 h (94 to 113 % of nominal).

This result is supported by a guideline study according to EU method C.2 using Daphnia magna as test species. The 48-h EC50 was determined to be > 500 mg/L (nom., BASF AG, 1988). The exposure conditions were static. Test concentrations were not analytically verified, but can be assumed to have remained within 80 to 120% of nominal concentrations based on the results of the key study (Eastman 1995).

Based on these results the substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
