Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Two long-term terrestrial toxicity tests were performed (Earthworm Reproduction Test - OECD 222; Nitrogen Transformation Test, OECD 216).

In the earthworm reproduction and growth study with 400160 the No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) for mortality, growth, reproduction and feeding activity of the earthworm Eisenia fetida was determined to be higher than or equal 1000 mg test item/kg soil, i.e. the highest concentration tested.

The nitrogen transformation activity of soil after treatment with 400160 was determined according to OECD 216. One valid experiment was performed. The study was performed using 5 concentrations (1000 / 1800 / 3200 / 5600 / 10000 mg/kg) of 400160. The resulting calculated 28d EC50 value was 2800 mg/kg.

The PNEC for the soil compartment was derived by applying an assessment factor of 50 on the lowest effect value of these 2 long-term toxicity tests. The screening assessment gives a PEC/PNEC ratio of <1. Therefore no further toxicity testing for soil organisms has to be conducted.
