Persistence of the substance was tested in closed study design as 3-PN has a potential for volatility. Full reliable degradation studies demonstrated the substance is readily biodegradable meeting the 10d-window (De Nada, 2009).

Based on QSARs estimations of the n-octanol/water partition coefficient (see endpoint 4.7), there is a strong weight of evidence that the substance would not bioaccumulate in organisms.
