Additional information

The boiling point for foots oils ranges from 158°C to 800°C. The data is read across from other lubricant base oils (materials with physical chemical properties similar to that of foots oils). A range of >158°C to 750°C was reported by CONCAWE (2010a). The boiling point was determined according to the EN 15199 and ASTM D 2887 method. An additional boiling point range of 300°C to 800°C for other lubricant base oils was obtained from the CONCAWE (1997) Lubricating Oil Basestocks Product Dossier. The boiling point range for hydrotreated light lubricant base oils is 240°C to 418°C and the boiling point range for hydrotreated heavy naphthenic lubricant base oils is 338°C to 604°C (API, 1987).
