Description of key information

The experimental Koc value for adsorption to soil (mean value = 30.5, n = 3) thiourea is expected to be mobile in soil (Korte & Freitag, 1984).

Henry's law constant of thiourea was estimated by calculation based on the substance's water solubility and vapour pressure: H = 5.58E-09 Pa m³/mol (BUA Stoffbericht 179, 1996). Therefore, thiourea is considered to be non-volatile from water surfaces. Furthermore, thiourea is not expected to volatilise from soil based on its vapour pressure.
