Additional information

2-amino-2,3-dimethyl-butanentril has been tested in an Ames test according to EPA test standard OPPTS 870.5265 using for Salmonella strains. Data on E.coli WP2 uvrA- are available from an acceptable study as well. In both studies the test substance did not cause an increase in the mutation frequency in bacteria.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Data available do not warrant classification for germ cell mutagenicity according to the criteria of 67/548/EEC and the CLP regulation.
