Description of key information

The lethal concentration (LC50) value of 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide in aquatic invertebrate (Daphnia magna) in a 48 hr study on mortality effect was found to be 460.891 mg/L.Thus,considering the CLP Criteria for aquatic classification of the substance, and given that the chemical is rapidly degraded in the water and BCF is less than 500, it can be concluded that 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is unlikely to exhibit short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrate (Daphnia magna) within the dose level mentioned

Additional information

The aquatic classification for this chemical has not been considered for this chemical since it is readily bio-degradable in water as well as has a low BCF factor. Thus, according to the CLP criteria for aquatic toxicity, it is concluded that 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is unlikely to exhibit short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrate (Daphnia magna) within the dose level mentioned.
