B-TTEGME hydrolyses in water. B-TTEGME is readily biodegradable as demonstrated by the key biodegradation study. Hence, further exposure and risk assessment for surface water, sediment and soil compartments is not required according to Annex VII to X of the REACH guidelines.

Due to hydrolysis and biodegradability and due to its Log Kow of << 3, there is low potential of bioaccumulation in biota. Since B-TTEGME is not volatile, contamination of air and transport in air are not likely.
