Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperatures of this category have been measured in the range 215°C (C12) - 220°C (C16).

In a guideline, proprietary study (Evonik Oxeno 2008) the auto ignition temperature for tributene was measured as 215°C. This study is non-GLP but follows a standard guideline and is considered reliable and suitable for use as a key study for this endpoint. A supporting study (Aqura2006) reported the auto ignition temperature of tetrabutene to be 220°C. This data is considered to be representative of the category.

The mean of the auto-ignition temperature values for the category is 217.5°Cand this has been used to complete the 'key value for chemical safety assessment'.
