Aquatic acute tests covering 3 trophic levels (algae, daphnia, fish) were conducted. Activated sludge respiration inhibition data is also presented. All the aquatic studies were conducted in accordance with GLP and OECD guidance and endpoints were based on nominal concentrations.

In an OECD 203 acute fish toxicity test the 96 hour 96 hour LC50 was found to be 7.07 mg/L.

In an OECD 202 acuteDaphnia magnatest the 48 hour EC50 was found to be 5.18 mg/L.

In an OECD 201 algal inhibition test the 72 hour ErC50 for growth rate was found to be 4.11 mg/L and the NOEC was found to be 1.25 mg/L.

In an OECD 209 activated sludge respiration inhibition test the 3 hour EC50 was determined to be 314 mg/L and the EC10 71 mg/L

In the chemical safety assessment performed in connection with Annex I no risk was identified. Consequently, in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the long term studies do not need to be conducted as all identified uses of the substance are assessed as safe for the environment.
