Additional information

The biodegradation of the test substance was determined in a study according to the protocol "Biodegradation Study of Chemicals" as described in "About Test Methods for New Chemical Substances" (Kanpogyo Notification No. 5, Yakuhatsu Notification No. 615, and 49 Kikyoku Notification No. 392) (Niigata Reasearch Laboratory, 1982). In this study sludge received from the Chemical Biotesting Center was inoculated with 100 mg/L test substance for 14 days. Biodegradation rates of 83.4 -86.1% were reported based on oxygen demand and TOC removal, respectively. Based on these findings the substance is assessed to be readily biodegradable
