Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
560 °C

Additional information

Key study: The determination of auto-ignition was performed according to EU Method A.15 and DIN 51794:2003-05. Small amount of test item was introduced into the opened Erlenmeyer’s flask 200 mL (ignition chamber) heated in special apparatus to observe whether an ignition appears or not for a given temperature of the chamber walls. Changing in many ignition trials the temperature of the chamber walls and amount of a sample according to requirements fixed in Standard Operating Procedure the lowest temperature in which an ignition appears was determined. For the temperature of the auto-ignition of the examined substance, it was assumed the lowest from the lowest values of temperatures, constituting total multiple 5 °C at rounding down. The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was 560 ºC at 1007 - 1018 hPa.
