Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of 1-(dimethylamino)propan-2-ol was tested in a guideline study conducted in compliance with OECD 301 A. The substance was biodegraded by 90 to 100 % after 28 days by non-adapted domestic activated sludge (BASF AG, 2006; report no. 21G0403/053320). The 10 -d window was kept. Therefore, the substance is readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
