Description of key information

The substance is not corrosive to metals.

Additional information

2-[2-(3-aminopropoxy)ethoxy]ethanol does not need to be classified as corrosive to metals as the estimated electrical conductivity is less than 15µS/cm and there is no halogen in the molecule.

Read across from CAS 929 -06 -6:

2-[2-(3-aminopropoxy)ethoxy]ethanol and 2 -(2 -Aminoethoxy)ethanole (CAS 929 -06 -6, measured conductivity 1.31 µS/cm) are both ethers with amine and hydroxy groups. We expect higher conductivity of 2-[2-(3-aminopropoxy)ethoxy]ethanol based on the shorter carbon chain. Therefore metal corrosivity for 2-[2-(3-aminopropoxy)ethoxy]ethanol is not expected.
