Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information
No aquatic toxicity data are available for Glycerides, C16 -18, mono-, di-, and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, sodium salts (CAS 91744-39-7). Thus, the hazard assessment is based on available data for the structural analogue Glycerides, C16-C18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, potassium salts (CAS 91744-38-6). For details on the analogue approach please refer to the read-across report.
As a result of the hazard assessment of CAS 91744-39-7 it can be concluded that the substance does not meet the criteria for classification as dangerous or to be considered PBT/vPvB.
Conclusion on classification
No aquatic toxicity data are available for Glycerides, C16 -18, mono-, di-, and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, sodium salts (CAS 91744-39-7). Thus, the hazard assessment is based on available date for the structural analogue Glycerides, C16-C18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, potassium salts (CAS 91744-38-6). For details on the analogue approach please refer to the read-across report.
The test substance (Glycerides, C16-C18 mono-, di- and tri-, hydrogenated, citrates, potassium salts; CAS 91744-39-7) is readily biodegradable (87 % within 28 days). Due to the ready biodegradability of the substance bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms is assumed to be low. In addition, triglycerides are widely used as food ingredients and do not present a hazard to humans or animals. Glycerol citrate stearates are readily metabolised into the fatty acid part, glycerol and citric acid, which feed into physiological pathways.
Acute toxicity values are available for CAS 91744-38-6 for all three trophic levels. Due to the low water solubility of the test item Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs) were prepared for testing. In none of the tests effects could be observed at the maximum loading level of 100 mg/L. Thus, the NOELR in all three tests on aquatic acute toxicity is 100 mg/L.
A comparison of these data to the environmental classification criteria shows that the substance does not qualify for the classification categories for acute (short-term) aquatic hazards: As the EL/LL50 is not ≤ 100 mg/L, the substance is readily biodegradable, and is expected to be readily metabolized after uptake, classification for environmental hazards is not warranted.
