Additional information
The substance is listed in the Regulation (EC) No 2037/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 June 2000 on substances that deplete the ozone layer lists within ANNEX I states that the substance is listed as a Group 1 substance. The substance is used as a processing agent under a derogation in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1005/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 September 2009 on substances that deplete the ozone layer. Fugitive emissions are controlled and there are no direct releases to the aquatic environment during industrial use.
Use of valid QSAR models was therefore considered appropriate for assessment of the toxicity to aquatic organisms. The lowest value obtained was a 96-hr LC50 of 71 mg/l for freshwater. Based on this result the substance could be potentially hazardous to fish.
