First-aid measures

Inhalation:       Consult a physician if irritating symptoms develop and persist.

Skin Contact:  Rinse contaminated skin with plenty of water.

Eye Contact:   Immediately rinse eyes thoroughly with running water as long as possible (approx. 15 min).

Take injured quickly to factory medical center or call an ambulance (code word: eye accident).

Ingestion:       If feeling sick, immediately call for a physician or take patient to factory medical centre (if necessary, call for an ambulance).

Acute/Chronic effect and Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain.

Notes to Physician: Activated charcoal

                                 Treat symptomatically

General measures to eliminate the substance and to reduce absorption.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media:                Water spray or fog, foam, dry chemical powder, CO2, dry sand

Unsuitable Extinguishing Media:           No restrictions

Protective equipment for firefighters:  Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and fire protective suite.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:              Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Environmental precautions:    Do not release into the environment.

Methods for cleaning:              Transfer large quantities into a container, rinse the rest with plenty of water. Consult experts for decontamination.

Accidental Release:                   Very toxic to aquatic organism. Should not be released into the environment.

Inactivation of the substance with a solution of ethanolamine (10%) in isopropanol.

Handling and storage

Storage and Handling Precautions: Provide exhaust ventilation system in case of open handling.

Conditions of storage: Protect against light.

Technical Measures: Ventilation of contaminated air at the source not required.

Preventive Precautions (fire/explosion): After exposure to elevated temperatures store under quarantine (fire proof place). Avoid formation of dust. Keep away from sources of ignition. Observe the usual precautionary measures required for chemicals with dust explosive properties (Observe national regulations).
