Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Acute tests evaluating the toxicity of the test substance to aquatic organisms from three different trophic levels are available. The available studies with the fish species Oryzias latipes and the aquatic invertebrate Daphnia magna did not result in any toxicity based on mortality and mobility, respectively, with EC50 values > 100 mg/L (nominal). In the test with the freshwater algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata according to OECD 201, an EC50 value of > 100 mg/L (nominal) and a NOEC of 9.5 mg/L (nominal) have been determined.

Long-term toxicity testing was not deemed necessary as the environmental exposure assessment for the test substance according to Annex XI, Section 3 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 indicates no risk for the aquatic compartment (all RCR < 1; please refer to Chapter 9 and 10 of the Chemical Safety Report for detailed information). The test substance did not cause inhibition of the respiration of the sludge in a study according to OECD 209 with activated sludge microorganisms and thus a NOEC (3 h) ≥ 1000 mg/L based on respiration rate was derived. The overall potential to cause inhibition of activated sludge microorganisms is low and significant inhibition of the subsequent degradation process in sewage treatment plants is not expected.
