Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The density of aluminium isopropylate is 1.035 g/cm3 at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.035

Additional information

The density respectively relative density is reported in three different peer reviewed handbooks being 1.035 g/cm3 (Hawley), 1.0346 (Ullmann) and D20/0 of 1.0578 (CRC). The value of 1.035 is considered more reliable as being an absolute value and not relative to the density of water at 0 °C (as in CRC handbook) which is rather unusual as reference for relative density (common reference is water at 4 °C). Nevertheless the three values do correspond rather well.
