Executive summary:

The objective of the study was to determine the following physico-chemical properties for ISO-MIX:

Appearance

Melting and boiling temperature

Density

Vapour pressure

Flash-point

Auto-ignition temperature

The design of this study is based on the following guidelines:

Appearance

EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OPPTS 830.6302: Color. August 1996.

EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OPPTS 830.6303: Physical State. August 1996.

EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OPPTS 830.6304: Odor. August 1996.

The physical state, color and, if characteristic, odour of the formulation was determined.

For determination of the appearance of the formulation, 6.87 g sample was taken from the test item, transferred into a 20 mL glass vial and observed against a white background. The physical state was described. The color was compared with the Munsell color-order system (The Munsell book of color, Macbeth, Division of Kollmorgen Instruments Corporation, New Windsor, New York, USA).

Observations were performed in a fume cupboard at a temperature of 18.0°C.

The test item was a clear dark yellow liquid with Munsell code 3.75Y 7/12.

No characteristic odor was noticed during handling of the test item.
