Description of key information

The 72hr EC50 considering the inhibition of aquatic algae for 9003-29-6 (considered representative of the category) was found to be >19.2 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a proprietary, guideline, GLP-complient study (Evonik 2009) 9003 -29 -6 was found not to inhibit algae up to the maximum concentration tested (19.2 mg/L). Therefore the 72hr EC50 considering the inhibition of aquatic algae is concluded to be >19.2 mg/L. QSAR estimates (ECOSAR, part of EPISuite V4.0 as recommeneded by the TGD) were used to predict toxicity based on representative members of the category. The 48 hr EC50 for members of this category range from 0.009 - 1.099 mg/L.
