Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study investigating the ready biodegradability of Oleic acid, monoester with oxybis(propandiol) (CAS 49553-76-6) is available. This study (Berti, W. R., 2013) was conducted according to the OECD Guideline 301B (GLP) under aerobic conditions using secondary activated sludge as inoculum. A mean biodegradation of 78% was observed after 21 d and the 10-day window criterion was reached. As the biodegradation curve reached a plateau for more than three determinations (the plateau was achieved at day7), the test was ended at day 21. Therefore, Oleic acid, monoester with oxybis(propandiol) (CAS 49553-76-6) is stated to be readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
