Additional information

The substance isopentyl p-methoxycinnamate is readily biodegradable. The 10-day window was fulfilled in the two available screening studies on ready biodegradability with the substance itself and a structurally similar read-across substance that was used for the WoE-approach. Thus, no further degradation tests (biotic or abiotic) are necessary. The substance is considered as rapidly biodegradable in the environment. No environmental persistence of the substance is anticipated.

The substance has a low volatility under environmental conditions (estimated Henry’s law constant: 0.435 Pa· m3/mol at 25°C).

A log Koc value of 3.65 (QSPR estimation) indicates that the substance is slightly mobile in soil and sediments according to the classification scheme of McCall et al. (1981).

The calculated BCFs of the substance are 662 L/kg and 28 L/kg, respectively. The B criterion is not fulfilled for the substance isopentyl p-methoxycinnamate and thus, the substance is considered to be not bioaccumulative.
