The ability of CS-1246 to induce dermal sensitization was examined in a Guinea Pig Maximization Test (Kreuzmann, J.J., 1989). Based on results of the induction/challenge CS-1246 was determined to be a dermal sensitizer in guinea pigs.

The substance is classified as Xi R43 (May cause sensitization by skin contact) according to DSD and as as a Skin sensitizer Cat.1; H317 (May cause an allergic reaction) according to CLP.
