Description of key information

The 21d-NOEL/EL10 Daphnia magna was 4.39 mg/L in a OECD 211 Daphnia magna reproduction test under GLP (Reliability 1) based on active ingredient concentration.

In this study the effects of C36 -alkylenediamines (CAS no 68955 -56 -6) on the survival, development and reproductive output of the freshwater crustacean Daphnia Magna was tested. The test substance is poorly soluble in water and therefore water accommodated fractions were tested with the following nominal test substance loading concentrations: 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 8 mg/L.

No biologically significant lethal and sub-lethal effects were observed on Daphnia magna at any of the tested loading levels.

The dissolved test substance concentrations were monitored using specific chemical analysis. The observed concentrations of test substance were on average all below 1% of the nominal test substance loading concentrations. The following Key value for the chemical safety assessment can be derived: NOEL/EL10 = 4.39 mg/L
