Toxicity to soil macroorganisms: Effects on the reproduction of the earthworm Eisenia fetida (Lumbricidae) by dermal and alimentary uptake using a standardised artificial soil was determined after 56 days of exposure. The NOEC reproduction was determined as 500 mg test item/kg soil d.w. (Scheffczyk 2016).

Toxicity to terrestrial plants: The substance had no significant effect on either emergence, or growth, or survival of the six test species at concentrations up to and including 1000 mg/kg soil dry mass. Therefore, the lowest NOEC was 1000 mg/kg soil dry mass (Förster, 2016).

Toxicity to soil microorganisms: The substance had no adverse effect on the N-transformation in soil as would be observed as decreased nitrate concentrations in test item treated soil. The test item significantly increased the nitrate concentration in soil at concentrations of higher than 80 mg/kg soil dry mass as a consequence of the N contained in the substance item. The test item was considered to have no long term adverse effect on nitrogen transformation in soil (Förster, 2015).
