Description of key information

The substance 4-butylbenzene-1,3-diol (4-N-butylresorcinol) is considered as irritant in the Human Skin Model Test.
Under the experimental conditions reported, the test item 4-N-butyl resorcinol is considered to be a very severe eye irritant by means of the BCOP assay using fresh bovine corneae.
