> Thermal Sensitivity (by Diffrential Scanning Calorimetry)

The sample was observed to undergo two exothermic events during the test. The first commenced from 142.4°C and had a heat of decomposition of -16.2 J/g and the second commenced from 192.2°C and had a heat of decomposition of -1643.7 J/g. No further significant energetic activity was noted up to 500°C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non explosive
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the test, the test material was determined to be non-explosive.
Executive summary:

The explosivity of the test material was determined using thermal sensitivity and mechanical sensitivity tests (shock) in a study performed under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guidelines EU method A.14.

A Koenen test apparatus was used for determination of sensitivity to heat (flame) following a preliminary investigation using differential scanning calorimetry apparatus. Fall hammer apparatus was utilised for determination of sensitivity to shock.

Under the conditions of the test no evidence of explosivity were observed. The test material was therefore determined to be non-explosive.
