Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Triisodecyl phosphite used for read across was tested for mutagenicity in an Ames test which was negative, both without and without S9 mix. It was also tested in vitro in a DNA repair-suspension assay (in E.coli) and in vivo with mice bone marrow in a micronucleus test. These three tests were negative which leads to consider triisodecyl phosphite as not genotoxic.

To support this read across approach between Phosphorous acid, tri-C12-14-alkyl esters and triisodecyl phosphite, an Ames test with Phosphorous acid, tri-C12-14-alkyl esters was performed and also showed no concern with genotoxicity.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

Using data on Phosphorous acid, tri-C12-14-alkyl esters (negative Ames test) and data on Triisodecyl phosphite used for read across, it is concluded that Phosphorous acid, tri-C12-14-alkyl esters had no concern with genotoxicity effects.
