Description of key information

The hydrolysis of [14C] DINOSEB (DNBP) at pH 5,7,9, at concentrations of 20 and 40 ppm, was conducted for one month at 25°C. Aliquots were taken at specific sampling points and analyzed by thin-layer chromatography. No hydrolytic degradation products were observed during the course of the study. This indicates DINOSEB is stable at pH 5, 7, and 9. Unchanged DINOSEB accounts for greater than 96% of the radioactivity present after one month. The study methods used were comparable to guideline 40 CFR 161-1.

Additional information

- The Dzialo, 1984 study is presented as the key information. The reliability rating for this study is 2, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the report appears to be missing nine pages containing details of test set-up and results (only summary and an appendix remains in report), however the study was conducted according to recognised guidelines.

Dinoseb did not undergo hydrolysis in sterile buffer solutions at pH 5, 7 and 9 for a period of 1 month at 25 ºC
