Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance has low adsorption potential and therefore is considered as very mobile in soil and sediment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
97.9

Additional information

In the absence of an experimental adsorption coefficient, the Koc value can be estimated with a QSAR method. The method proposed by Gerstl (1990) is considered appropriate for the estimation. The estimation equation log Koc = 0.679 · log Kow + 0.663 is based on a large and diverse data set of experimental Koc values. The resulting log Koc value is 1.991 and the Koc = 97.9. According to the classification scheme of McCall (1981) the substance is very mobily in soil and sediment.
