Description of key information

In this long-term study EDDHMA-Fe had no effect on the survival of Daphnia magna at concentrations up to and including 1000 mg/L. A NOEC of 320 mg/L was derived based on reproduction and greater than or equal to 1000 mg/L based on parental mortality.

Additional information

The acute toxicity to Daphnia magna was performed according to OECD guideline 211. An EC50 of 628 mg/L based on reproduction and an EC50 of greater than 1000 mg/L based on parental mortality was detected. The animals were exposed to EDDHMA-Fe for 21 days in a static test system (Bogers, 1996). A NOEC of 320 mg/L was derived based on reproduction and greater than or equal to 1000 mg/L based on parental mortality.
