Description of key information

The substance was determined to be hydrolytically stable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Since no tests regarding the hydrolysis of the substance itself are available, an analogy approach to the structurally similar analogue substance Phosphordithionic acid mixed O,O-bis(iso-Bu and pentyl) esters, zinc salts (CAS 68457-79-4) has been applied. Further justification is given in the endpoint summary chapter 5.0 and within the analogue justification section 13. The potential of the analogue substance to hydrolyse in water was assessed as a function of pH according to OECD Guideline 111 under GLP conditions (The Lubrizol Corporation 2010). Based on results of the 5-day Tier 1 preliminary test, maintained at 50°C, the substance was determined to be hydrolytically stable. Hence a full study was not required.
