Additional information

The octanol-water partitioning coefficient of the substance was studied under GLP conditions in accordance with the OECD guideline No 107 by using the "shaking flask method". A defined amount of test substance was dissolved in 100 mL n-octanol saturated with double distilled water to prepare a stock solution. Defined volumes of this stock solution were added to a mixture of water-saturated n-octanol and octanol-saturated double distilled water and the following ratios of the organic and aqueous phase were tested: 2:1, 1:1, 1:2. Two vessels were tested for each ratio of the phases and the total number of vessels was six. The vessels were placed on a rotation shaker and were agitated for 66.5 hours at 20 °C. The pH of the aqueous phase was measured and a sample of each aqueous phase (n = 6) was taken, prepared and the dissolved concentration was determined by gas chromatography. The concentration measured in the aqueous phase was about 0.1 mg/L for all six runs and the pH of the aqueous phase was approximately 5.3. The average value of the log Pow from the six runs was log Pow = 4.276 with a standard deviation of 0.5 %.
