Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Test guidelineopen allclose all
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 209 (Activated Sludge, Respiration Inhibition Test
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method C.11 (Biodegradation: Activated Sludge Respiration Inhibition Test)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Instead of the carcinogen 3,5-dichlorophenol as reference substance copper(II)sulfate-pentahydrate was used. The inoculum was washed twice instead of three times, because this was shown to be sufficient. Because the sludge was known to be highly active, only 3 instead 4 g/l of the dry sludge was used. Because of the preliminary tests a dilution factor of > 1.8 was used in order to proof a wider concentration range.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
