Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

An ErC50 of 11 mg/L (measured, TWA) and a NOEC of 6.6 mg/L (measured, TWA) was determined under conditions tested for aquatic algae. Thus, toxic effects to aquatic algae were observed within the water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the effects of Glycerides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd. mono- and di-, acetates (CAS-No. 91052 -13 -0) on aquatic algae is available. The static study with the freshwater algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was conducted according to OECD Guideline 201 over a period of 72 hours. Water Accommodated Fractions (WAF) with a loading rate of 2.6, 4.6, 16, 40 and 100 mg/L were individually prepared by siphoning the solution through glass wool. The resulting test solutions of WAFs with a loading rate of 10 mg/L and higher remained slightly hazy to hazy. The TOC content of the WAF was determined to be 6.6 (WAF loading rate 16 mg/L), 5.9 (WAF loading rate 40 mg/L) and 15.7 mg/L (WAF loading rate 100 mg/L) (measured as TWA). An ErC50 of 11 mg/L (measured, TWA) and a NOEC of 6.6 mg/L (measured, TWA) was determined in the study. Thus, toxic effects to aquatic algae were observed within the water solubility.
