Description of key information

The acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was assessed with Daphnids exposed under static conditions to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. The LC50 was calculated to be > 100 mg/L (limit concentration). The NOEC was greater or equal 100 mg/L.

Additional information

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of the test substance DL-Panthenol on the mobility respectively survival of Daphnia magna according to EU-method C.2 and OECD guideline 202. Young Daphnia were exposed in a static test to the test substance for 48 hours. The resulting 48-hour EC50 was > 100 mg/L (nominal) and the NOEC was greater or equal to 100 mg/L (nominal). Thus, the test demonstrates that the test substance has no toxic effect on the Daphnia.
