Additional information

The study does not need to be conducted as the flammability derived from flash point. The substance is a hardly combustible liquid.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as pyrophoric as based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties are not to be expected.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as a substance which in contact with water emit flammable gases as based on chemical structure flammability in contact with water is not to be expected.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as self-heating as the substance is a liquid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.1, Section 2.2, Section 2.3, Section 2.7, Section 2.9, Section 2.10 Section 2.11, Section 2.12 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as readily combustible solid in class 4 Division 4.1, self-heating substance in Class 4 Division 4.2, substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases in Class 4 Division 4.3, pyrophoric liquid, pyrophoric solid in class 4 Division 4.2, flammable gases in class 2 or as aerosol in class 2.

The following classification criteria are met: no Catagory of EU Directive 67/548/EEC: flash point > 55 °C; no Category of EU CLP: flash point > 60 °C
