According to ANNEX VII of REACH regulation n. 1907/2006, the study does not need to be conducted if the molecule of the substance has not chemical groups associated with explosive properties. No decomposition occurs at high temperature.

The waiving can be also done based on the experience on handling and use (qualitative assessment).

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance Sulfosuccinate of Lanolin Alcohol is not classified as an explosive because it doesn't meet the classification criteria of the CLP regulation n. 1272/2008: "a screening procedure is aimed at identifying the presence of such reactive groups and the potential for rapid energy release (2.41.4.2). The molecule of the substance has not chemical groups associated with explosive properties. No decomposition occurs at high temperature.
