Additional information

Limited information are available on toxicokinetics, metabolism and distribution of 11-aminoundecanoic acid. Five F-344 rats of each sex were each dosed orally (stomach tube) with 1 mCi of 11 -14C-aminoundecanoic acid. In the 24 hours following administration of the chemical, urine and feces were collected. Within 24 hours of the oral administration of 11 -14C-aminoundecanoic acid, approximately 80 % of radioactivity was excreted in urine in the form of metabolites and minor amounts of 14CO2 were produced by metabolism of 11 -14C-aminoundecanoic acid. Under the conditions of this test, results indicated that 11-aminoundecanoic acid is rapidly and extensively absorbed by rats after an oral administration, distributed in the body and rapidly excreted mainly via urine.
