Description of key information

Key study: Givaudan (2012g), Auto-ignition temperature (EU Method A.15): 250 ± 10 °C at 101 325 Pa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
250 °C

Additional information

The auto flammability of the test substance was determined in a non-GLP compliant study (Givaudan, 2012g) performed in accordance with standardised guidelines EU Method A.15 and DIN 15794 with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the presented data. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable to fulfil the data requirement. At a temperature of 245ºC no ignition was observed. The lowest auto-ignition temperature of the substance was determined to be 250 ± 10°C. The ± 10ºC refers to the reproducibility of the method as specified by the guideline.
