Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study, the test material was found to have a water solubility of ≤ 1.6 x 10 ⁻⁴ g/L in purified water (pH 5.1 to 5.7), ≤ 1.1 x 10 ⁻³ g/L at pH 4, ≤ 2.7 x 10 ⁻⁴ g/L at pH 7 and ≤ 7.7 x 10 ⁻⁵ g/L at pH 9 at 20 ± 0.5 °C (solubility increases as pH decreases). It can therefore be described as insoluble to slightly soluble.

Additional information

The key study was conducted in line with GLP and the standardised guidelines OECD 105 and EU Method A.6. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997).

The water solubility of the test material was evaluated using the flask method at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.

Under the conditions of the test, the test material was found to be insoluble (<0.1 mg/L) to slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L). It was observed that the solubility of the test material increased as the pH of the solution decreased. The solubility of the test material in the respective media are as follows:

Purified water ≤ 1.6 x 10 ⁻⁴ g/L (pH 5.1 to 5.7)

pH 4 buffer solution ≤ 1.1 x 10 ⁻³ g/L (pH 4.1 to 4.2)

pH 7 buffer solution ≤ 2.7 x 10 ⁻⁴ g/L (pH 7.1 to 7.2)

pH 9 buffer solution ≤ 7.7 x 10 ⁻⁵ g/L (pH 9.1)
