First-aid measures

Emergency measures:

- Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical attention if ill effects occur.

- Eyes: Irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 10 minutes. Obtain medical attention.

- Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with water if symptoms (irritation or blistering) occur obtain medical attention.

- Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water and give 200-300 ml (half pint) of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical attention if ill effects occur.

Fire-fighting measures

- Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or CO2.

- Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage:

- Protect against dust. Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of spillages.

- Clear up spillages. Transfer to a container for disposal. Wash the spillage area with water.

Handling and storage

Handling:

- Control dust formation. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

- Avoid inhalation of high concentration of dusts.

- Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Storage:

- Stability: 2 years

- Operations that involve the crushing or shredding of waste materials or returned goods must be handled to meet the recommended exposure limit(s).
